Founded in the vibrancy of 1967's Washington DC, the Schulman Group began as an orthodontic laboratory brainchild of Martin "Bud" Schulman, alongside Dr. Harry Galblum and Dr. Harold Eskew. Dental Corporation of America (DCA) was born, flourishing under Bud's meticulous expertise in both accounting and business management.

Recognizing a gap in the dental community's business acumen, Bud launched a consultancy to elevate dentists into savvy business owners, an endeavor that soon positioned him as a go-to authority. The 1980s saw Bud expanding his influence through a groundbreaking management and investing newsletter, coupled with seminars that brought orthodontic and dental specialists under one roof.

The Evolution of a Premier Study Club

The Super Schulman Study Club emerged from Bud's vision, gathering a force of orthodontists committed to business and management excellence. Criteria for joining were stringent, ensuring only the most successful practices could contribute to, and benefit from, the shared knowledge pool. Meetings were rigorous, statistics were king, and family involvement paramount.

Fast forward to 1987, and John McGill steps in to steer the newsletter while Bud continued to anchor the group with his signature statistical reviews. The club burgeoned in reputation, growing to become a beacon of orthodontic study groups and retaining Bud's foundational values of honesty and collaboration.

In 2018, the legacy was cemented with the formation of SG Management LLC, a testament to the group's dedication to independent practice ownership, clinical excellence, and collective wisdom.
